London, 15th March 2004 – Syntax Integration has launched a new service, SyntaxOne, which is an entirely new concept for outsourced IT service delivery. SyntaxOne is a utility based model, provided as a remote managed service and delivered via an appliance. It automates the delivery of IT services to a business, and in the process makes IT systems more reliable, secure, available and controlled, leaving customers free to concentrate on growing their business, not IT. Based upon IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards, the service provides a complete end-to-end solution for IT service management.
The SyntaxOne appliance is based upon Microsoft Windows 2003 technology and uses many of the advanced features of Active Directory to provide the automation and operation efficiency. The desktop service management element is delivered through the use of in-house developed tools and native Microsoft Windows XP technologies.
The solution has been designed for small to medium sized organisations and it solves many of the challenges faced when delivering IT to the business, such as reducing IT fire-fighting effort, finding and keeping the right IT staff, maintaining and managing technology, making the most of technology to achieve operational efficiency, managing change and developing policies and strategies.
SyntaxOne can deliver significant benefits, including automated service delivery for maximum efficiency, increased system reliability and availability, lower staff recruitment costs, reduced risk on individuals, better control of IT through ITIL based standards and increased security.
Magnus McDonald, Head of Services at Syntax commented: “We are delighted to have created this unique service. It is only very recently that the technology has matured for us to be able offer a fully scalable and automated world-class IT outsourcing service for SME organisations.”
